What makes a sequence an arithmetic sequence?

Not an arithmetic sequence.

Practice makes perfect

When a sequence is arithmetic, the difference between two consecutive terms is constant. By examining our sequence, we can see that this is not the case. 4 + 0.4 ⟶ 4.4 + 0.04 ⟶ 4.44 + 0.004 ⟶ 4.444 ⟶ ... Therefore, the sequence is not arithmetic.
