When a sequence is arithmetic, the difference between two consecutive terms is constant. By examining our sequence we can see that this is the case. 10 +( - 2) ⟶ 8 +( - 2) ⟶ 6 +( - 2) ⟶ 4 +( - 2) ⟶ ... Therefore, the sequence is an arithmetic sequence with common difference - 2.
