Consider the Lines Perpendicular to a Transversal Theorem.
We cannot say that any of the lines are parallel.
If two lines are perpendicular to the same line, then they are parallel to each other. In this case we know that v and y are perpendicular. However, we do not know if w and y are perpendicular, and we do not know if x and v are perpendicular.
Therefore, we cannot with certainty say that any of the lines are parallel.
