Notice that this function is an exponential growth function since the growth factor is greater than 1. Therefore, we should be able to write it in the following form. y=a(1+ r)^t For our function, the term (1+ r) is equal to 3, so r= 2. 1+ r = 3 ⇔ r= 2 As a percent, the growth rate is equal to 200 %.
