We want to use a ruler to measure the length of the given segment. To measure the segment, place your ruler under the segment in the exercise in the book.
The easiest way to begin is to align the first point P with an integer on the ruler. As it should be measured to the nearest 81 inch, we will look closer at the point Q to get a higher level of accuracy.
