6

Practice makes perfect
Before we evaluate the expression, let's first rewrite it so that all of the numbers are fractions.
16 Ă· 2 23
16/1 Ă· 2 23
16/1 Ă· 2 * 3+2/3
16/1 Ă· 6+2/3
16/1 Ă· 8/3
Now, dividing fractions is the same as multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction. 16/1 Ă· 8/3 = 16/1 * 3/8 When multiplying fractions, remember that the product of two fractions is equal to the product of the numerators over the product of the denominators.
16/1 * 3/8
16 * 3/1 * 8
48/1 * 8
48/8
