Before we evaluate the expression, let's first rewrite it so that all of the numbers are fractions.

16 ÷ 2 23

Write as a fraction

16/1 ÷ 2 23

a bc=a* c+b/c

16/1 ÷ 2 * 3+2/3

Multiply

16/1 ÷ 6+2/3

Add terms

16/1 ÷ 8/3

Now, dividing fractions is the same as multiplying the first fraction by the reciprocal of the second fraction. 16/1 ÷ 8/3 = 16/1 * 3/8 When multiplying fractions, remember that the product of two fractions is equal to the product of the numerators over the product of the denominators.

16/1 * 3/8

Multiply fractions
