There are two ways to know for sure that an ordered pair is a solution to a system of linear inequalities:

  1. If you graph the system, an ordered pair is a solution if it falls within the overlapping shaded area.
  2. If you substitute the ordered pair into all the inequalities of the system, it satisfies each inequality individually.
