Equidistant means that the distance from A to both points on line m should be congruent.

Practice makes perfect

Let's draw â–ł ABC and find two points that are equidistant from A. Notice that we preserve the setting of the compass so that these points actually are equidistant.

Next, using the same compass setting, we find a point on the other side of m that is the same distance from D and E

Repeating the same procedure for the rest of the points, we get an outline of â–ł A'B'C'.

When we know the vertices of â–ł A'B'C', we can draw the reflection of â–ł ABC.
