Exercise 95 Page 213

What numbers does set B contain?

B={ x | x is an odd integer, 1≤ x≤7 }

Practice makes perfect
From the exercise, we see that B contains the odd integer numbers starting at 1 and ending at 7. If the variable x describes these set elements, then we will have that the set B is made of the elements x such that every x is an odd integer number greater than or equal to 1 and less than or equal to 7. We can write it in set-builder notation in the following way.

B={ x | x is an odd integer number, 1≤ x ≤7 }
