Exercise 94 Page 213

What numbers does set A contain?

A={ x | x is a whole number, x<10 }

Practice makes perfect
From the exercise, we see that A contains the whole numbers starting at 0 and continuing up to 9. If the variable x describes these set elements, we will have that the set A is made of elements x such that every x is a whole number less than 10. We can write it in set-builder notation in the following way.

A={ x | x is a whole number, x<10 }
