Multiplication Property of - 1

Practice makes perfect
To identify the Property of Real Numbers being demonstrated by the given equation, we should first identify the operation being performed. 9*(-1* x)=9*(- x) We only need to consider the quantity contained in the parentheses since it is the only part that is changing between the left and right-hand sides of the equation. In this case, the numbers are being multiplied. The equation shows that multiplying a number by -1 changes it's sign. This is the Multiplication Property of -1.
