We want to find the scale factor of TRAP to EZYD. We are given that TRAP ~ EZYD.

Since we know that they are similar, we also know that the lengths of their corresponding sides are proportional. Notice that we have been given the lengths of sides RT and ZE. Because these are corresponding sides, we can find the scale factor by substituting these lengths into the ratio.
