Using the given diagram, we want to find the midpoint of AG.

In order to find the midpoint, we need to first find the length of the segment using the Ruler Postulate. The Ruler Postulate states that the distance between two points can be found by taking the absolute value of the difference of their coordinates.
PH=|a-g|
PH=| -2- 3|
PH=|-5|
PH=5
The midpoint is half of the distance, or 5Ă·2=2.5 units, between P and H.

Looking closely at the number line, we can see that point M with coordinate of 0.5 is the midpoint between P and H.
