Where does DA start? In which direction does it travel?
-7 and 3
We want to find two possible coordinates of point Q such that PQ=5. Let's consider the given number line.
We will reach one of the possible coordinates by counting 5 units from P to the left.
As we can see, by doing so, we reach number -7 on number line. Thus, one of the possible coordinates for Q is -7. We will reach the other one by counting 5 units from P to the right.
As it turns out, the other possible coordinate for Q is 3. Therefore, in this case, Q and H would represent the same point. 3 is still a valid coordinate for Q, though. To conclude, two possible coordinates for Q where PQ=5 are -7 and 3.
