f(x)=7/x &⇔ f(x)=7/x- 0+ 0 g(x)=7/x+1 &⇔ g(x)=7/x-( -1)+ 0 We can see that h= 0 and k= 0 for f(x). Therefore, the asymptotes are the lines x= 0 and y= 0. For g(x) we have h= -1 and k= 0. This means that the asymptotes are the lines x= -1 and y= 0. With this in mind, we will make a table of values for each function. Be sure to include numbers on both sides of the vertical asymptotes.
