Equations in standard form are written in a specific format. Ax+ By= CIn this form, A, B, and C are integers, and A and B cannot both be zero. We will use the Properties of Equality to rewrite the given equation in this form.

y-1=5/6(x-4)

LHS * 6=RHS* 6

6(y-1)=5(x-4)

Distribute 6 & 5

6y-6=5x-20

LHS+20=RHS+20

6y+14=5x

LHS-6y=RHS-6y

14=5x-6y

Rearrange equation

5x-6y=14

Now we can compare this result with the general standard form equation. Ax+ By&= C 5x+ ( -6)y&= 14
