Equations in standard form are written in a specific format. Ax+ By= CIn this form, A, B, and C are integers, and A and B cannot both be zero. We will use the Properties of Equality to rewrite the given equation in this form.

y-13=4(x-2)

Distribute 4

y-13=4x-8

LHS+13=RHS+13

y=4x+5

LHS-4x=RHS-4x

- 4x +y =5

Now we can compare this result with the general standard form equation. Ax+ By&= C - 4x+ 1y&= 5
