Equations in standard form are written in a specific format. Ax+ By= CIn this form, A, B, and C are integers, and A and B cannot both be zero. We will use the Properties of Equality to rewrite the given equation in this form.

y+7=1/2(x+2)

LHS * 2=RHS* 2

2(y+7)=1(x+2)

Distribute 2 & 1

2y+14=x+2

LHS-2=RHS-2

2y+12=x

LHS-2y=RHS-2y

12=x-2y

Rearrange equation

x-2y=12

Now we can compare this result with the general standard form equation. Ax+ By&= C 1x+ ( -2)y&= 12
