When we bisect an angle what measure do the resulting angles get?

Let's first mark the points M, N, and P so that ∠ MNP is straight. We also draw segments between the points.
Let's now mark the congruent angles we get when we bisect ∠ MNP.
The ∠ MNP is straight and therefore its measure is 180^(∘). When we bisect an angle the resulting angles will both have a measure, m_r, half that of the original angle. Here the resulting angles' measure is m_r=180^(∘)/2=90^(∘). The resulting angles are both right angles. Let's therefore remove the arcs and replace them with squares.
