When two angles are adjacent, they share a common side and vertex. Looking at ∠ KGH and ∠ LKG, we can see that they share a common side KG, but they have different vertices.

Now, let's examine ∠ FGK and ∠ FGH.

As we can see, they share both a common side GF, and vertex G. However, adjacent angles cannot share any common interior points. In other words, they cannot overlap. These angles overlap and, therefore, cannot be adjacent.
