To identify the Property of Equality being demonstrated by the given equations, we should first identify the operation being performed. If x(y+z)=4, then xy+xz=4. In this case, the product of a number and a parenthetical factor is equal to the sum of the products of the number and each term inside the parentheses. This is the Distributive Property.
x(y+z)=4
x* y + x* z =4
xy+xz=4
