To solve the equation, we have to isolate y on one side. Using the Multiplication Property of Equality, we will multiply both sides of the equation by 11. This will eliminate the division on the left-hand side.

y ÷ 11= 987

LHS * 11=RHS* 11

y ÷ 11 * 11= 987* 11

Multiply

y = 10 857
