We can round 122 to 120. 120Ă· 4=30 Our quotient should be about 30. Now we will find the exact quotient. We divide, multiply, subtract, and compare as many times as we need.
Since 122Ă· 4=30.5, we know that 12.2Ă· 0.4=30.5. We know that the answer is reasonable because 30.5 is close to our estimate.
