Do you have to place the rectangle so that the length runs along the x-axis?

Practice makes perfect
As long as the rectangle has one of it's vertices at the origin and one or more sides on an axis, it will be relatively easy to find the length of the sides. Let's place the rectangle so that its width runs along the x-axis and length along the y-axis.


The new coordinates are: (0,0), (0,h), (k,h), and (k,0)
