Practice makes perfect
When calculating probability, we are comparing the number of favorable outcomes to the number of possible outcomes. To calculate the probability that a randomly chosen teacher is a reading teacher we will use the Probability Formula. P=Favorable Outcomes/Possible Outcomes

At the conference, there is a total of 12 math, 9 science, 3 music and 6 social studies teachers. The sum of these values is the number of possible outcomes. 12+9+3+6= 30 teachers Out of these, 0 are reading teachers, which is the number of favorable outcomes. Now we have enough information to calculate P(reading). P(reading)=0/30=0 Therefore the probability of choosing a reading teacher is 0.
