An equation in point-slope form follows a specific format. y- y_1= m(x- x_1) In this format, m represents the slope and the point ( x_1, y_1) lies on the graph of the line. We are given the point ( 4, 2) and the slope - 53, so we have everything we need to create a point-slope form equation.

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Substitute x_1= 4,y_1= 2,m= -5/3

y- 2= -5/3(x- 4)
