m=4- 2/2- 1
m=2/1
m=2

The slope of our line is 2. Now, we are able to write the equation using one of the points on the line. Let's use the point (1,2). (y-2)=2(x-1)

What do you think will happen to the circumference of the tree after 10 years? Since x represents time, we can find the circumference of the tree by substituting 10 for x into the equation that we found in Part A.

y-2=2(x-1)
y-2=2( 10-1)
