If the given equation is a linear equation, it will follow the standard form.

Ax+ By=C In this form, A, B, and C are constants and A and B cannot both be zero. In our case we have r and t instead of x and y. Writing the given equation this way, we see that something is different. 2r- 3rt+ 5t=1 The rt-term has two variables. Because of this, the equation cannot be written in standard form and is therefore not linear.
