If the given equation is a linear equation, it will follow the standard form.

Ax+ By=C In this form, A, B, and C are constants and A and B cannot both be zero. Writing the given equation this way, we see that something is different. -6x+ 9xy=7 The 9xy-term has two variables. Because of this, the equation cannot be written in standard form and is not linear.
