a Let's isolate the two angles in the diagram.

Both angles lie between the two lines but on opposite sides of the transversal. Angles located in this position are called alternate interior angles.

b Like we did in Part A, let's isolate the given angles.

The angle's sides form two pairs of opposite rays. Such angles are called vertical angles.

c As in previous Parts, we will isolate the given angles.

The angles have the same relative position about the transversal. Angles located in this way are called corresponding angles.

d Again, we will isolate the given angles in the diagram.

These are adjacent angles with noncommon sides forming opposite rays, making the angles supplementary. This fits the description of a linear pair.
