What does it mean when an equation has only one variable term?
Let's use this equation and substitute some values for y. Doing so will generate some coordinate pairs for us to use in our graph.
y | 1x+0y=6 | Simplify | (x,y) |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 1x+0( 0)=6 | x=6 | (6, 0) |
2 | 1x+0( 2)=6 | x=6 | (6, 2) |
4 | 1x+0( 4)=6 | x=6 | (6, 4) |
Now, we will plot these points and connect them with a line to form our graph.
