-sqrt(38),6 In this case, even though we do not know the exact value of -sqrt(38), we can say it is less than 0, because it is negative. -sqrt(38)< 0 <6 ⇓ -sqrt(38) < 6 Therefore, -sqrt(38) is less than 6.
