How can you check whether a polygon is convex?

Convex or Concave: Concave
Regular or Irregular: Irregular

Practice makes perfect
This polygon has six sides, so it is called a hexagon. Let's draw the lines containing the sides to check whether they have points in the interior of the polygon.

Since the red dashed lines have points in the interior of the polygon, we know that our polygon is concave. Because the polygon is not convex, it must be irregular.
