Describing Rotations

Describing Rotations 1.3 - Solution

arrow_back Return to Describing Rotations

To rotate the figure 180180^\circ counterclockwise about P,P, we will pay close attention to its vertices.

We will begin by rotating vertex C.C. To do so, we will first draw a segment from CC to P.P. Then, we will draw another segment from PP to the image of CC such that they are congruent and they form a straight angle.

Similarly, we will rotate the other vertices.

Finally, we will connect the rotated vertices to draw the image.
