The volume of a rectangular prism with a base area B, and height h can be calculated using the formula below. V=Bh We have been given a rectangular prism with a height of 3.6 and its base has a length of 1.5 and width of 2.1.
Therefore, we can calculate B, the area of the base using the formula for the area of a rectangle. B= 1.5* 2.1 ⇔ B= 3.15 We can substitute B= 3.15 and h= 3.6 in the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism to calculate V.
V= B h
V= 3.15( 3.6)
V=11.34
The volume of the prism is 11.34 cubic meters.
