Do you remember the formula for the volume of a prism?
11.34 m^3
The volume of a rectangular prism with a base area B, and height h can be calculated using the formula below.
V=Bh
We have been given a rectangular prism with a height of 3.6 and its base has a length of 1.5 and width of 2.1.
Therefore, we can calculate B, the area of the base using the formula for the area of a rectangle. B= 1.5* 2.1 ⇔ B= 3.15 We can substitute B= 3.15 and h= 3.6 in the formula for the volume of a rectangular prism to calculate V.
The volume of the prism is 11.34 cubic meters.
