“With Mathleaks, I’m always guaranteed an A for math tests”

4 June, 2024

A Swedish high school student named Max has been getting A’s on every math test since he started using Mathleaks.

“I feel like I have found the ultimate study method for math.”

Max is in his final year of the science program at Sigrid Rudebecks High School in Gothenburg, Sweden. Even before starting school, he knew that math could be a challenge. Sigrid Rudebecks is known as a high-performing high school and the science subjects require students to keep up with the math.

“The math is tough and it’s a big jump up from middle school math, with completely new aspects,” says Max.

Wanting to be as prepared as possible, Max started Googling around online to see if there was any digital homework help for math; that’s when he found Mathleaks.

“My math textbook and all the solutions to the problems in it were there. I subscribed immediately.”

Just as the answer to the exercise is written in the textbook, the entire solution to the exercise is available on Mathleaks – pedagogically and visually explained, step by step.

“It’s like someone is giving me a written recipe for a dish but, at the same time, they show me how to cook it, step by step. When done like that, you remember the recipe much better.”

Best homework help

Max now never worries about a math test because he can test his knowledge in advance. The more difficult problems he solves with Mathleaks, the better his grade on the test.

“So far, I’ve gotten A’s on all of my math tests. When you get a lot of practical experience with challenging questions, the tests become less difficult. I feel like I’m always guaranteed an A before a math test,” says Max.

“The more difficult problems I solve with Mathleaks, the higher my grade gets.”

When Max’s younger sister, Stella, was about to start high school, also in the science program, his parents asked Max to help with math. But since Max works extra hours at a digital marketing agency while going to school and doing his own homework, there was little time to help Stella.

“I told my parents about Mathleaks, so now my sister also has a subscription and doesn’t need my help with private math lessons anymore,” Max says with a laugh.

Mathematics is important for the future

Mathleaks not only helps Max get good grades in math, it also improves his results in other subjects. The mathematics in the Science program lay a foundation for a large part of the other courses.

“We use the math we learn in our math classes in the next class for physics or chemistry,” Max explains. “There is a lot of math involved in chemistry, but even more in physics. You need to have a good grasp of regular math to pass the course. I study physics 1 and 2 and they are math-heavy courses.”

In their math classes, Max and his classmates work more theoretically to understand the basic principles, while in physics and chemistry they’re applying the principles they have learned and solving real problems. So, the focus on math and investment in Mathleaks has proven to be worth it.

Max thinks that the math he learns in high school lays the foundation for his future choice of further education. As a bonus to finding Mathleaks, he has developed problem-solving skills that he believes will help him in the future.

“Mathleaks has helped me solve problems and that, in turn, has made me realize that it’s okay to have something or someone help me. I will keep that in mind in the future.”
