Exercise 50 Page 104

Do you remember the formula for finding the area of a circle?

I

Practice makes perfect
We will find the area of a circle. To do that, we need the radius of the circle. We can find its radius by dividing the diameter by 2. r=d/2 ⇒ r=6cm/2= 3 cm Now, we are able to find its area.
A=Ď€ r^2
A=Ď€( 3)^2
A=Ď€ * 9
A=9Ď€
The area of the circle is 9Ď€ cm^2. Therefore, answer I is correct.
