High school students in a sophomore class were asked whether they are left-handed or right-handed. A table showing the frequency of the handedness of the students is given.

To find the relative frequency of sophomores that are left-handed we divide its frequency by the number of sophomores. To find the number of sophomores, we add the frequencies. 72+ 478= 550 Now that we know the number of sophomores, we can find the relative frequency of sophomores that are left-handed. 72/550=36/275
