Split into factors

To split a number or expression into factors means to write it as a product. Take, for example, the number 60 and the expression 16x^6. 60&=6* 10 16x^6&=4* 4* x^2* x^4 Sometimes, numbers and expressions can be split into factors in more ways than one. Both of the examples above can alternatively be split into factors as shown below. 60&=3* 20 16x^6&=2* 8* x^3* x^3
