We are given a scatter plot and asked to describe the association, if there is any, between the two sets of data. To do it, we will draw a trend line for the graph, so that we can determine the type of association for the data.
The graph shows a negative correlation. What is more, nearly all of the points are close to the trend line, so the association is strong.
