(4x^4-3x^2-1)+(3x^4+6x^2)
4x^4-3x^2-1+3x^4+6x^2

4x^4 - 3x^2 - 1 + 3x^4 + 6x^2 In this case, we have two x^4-terms, two x^2-terms, and one constant. Only the x^4-termsand x^2-terms can be combined, so to simplify the expression we will rearrange them according to the Commutative Property of Addition and then combine like terms.

4x^4-3x^2-1+3x^4+6x^2
4x^4+3x^4-3x^2+6x^2-1
7x^4+3x^2-1
