To graph the equation we first have to write it in slope-intercept form by solving for y.

- 3x-4y=0

- 4y=3x
y=- 3x/4
y=- 3/4x
y=- 3/4x

Having rewritten the equation, we can enter it in our calculator by pressing the Y= button and typing the function in one of the rows. When the equation has been entered in the calculator, we can push GRAPH to draw it.

To have a better look we will change the size of the window by pressing WINDOW and changing the settings.

From the graph, we see that the equation intercepts the origin. However, to graph the equation we need two points. To find another point, we can substitute an arbitrary value for x in the equation and solve for y. To make sure we end up with a point with a y-coordinate that is a whole number, we can, for example, choose to substitute x=4.

y=- 3/4x
y=- 3/4( 4)
y=- 3(4)/4
y=- 3

A second point through which the equation passes is (4,- 3). Since we only need two points to graph a linear equation, we can plot the graph using the intercepts.
