33 % decrease

Practice makes perfect
In order to determine a percent change p, we can use the following general formula. p % =Amount of increase or decrease/Original amountFrom the given values, we can see the original amount was 9 and the new amount is 6, which shows a decrease. 9-6= 3 The difference between the new amount and the original amount is 3. Now we can use the formula.
Percent change=Amount of decrease/Original amount
Percent change=3/9
Percent change=1/3
Percent change ≈ 0.33
Percent change ≈ 33 %
The percent decrease is about 33 %.
