Using the function g(x), we want to evaluate for the given value, g( 0). To do this, we need to substitute 0 for x in each instance of the x-variable.
g(x)=- x^2-2x+3
g( 0)=- ( 0)^2-2( 0)+3
g(0)=- (0)-2(0)+3
g(0)=0-0+3
g(0)=3
