Dividing a fraction by a number

A fraction divided by a number can be rewritten as one fraction by multiplying that number with the fraction's denominator.

\frac{3 / 4}{2} = \frac{3}{2 \cdot 4}

This is special case of dividing fractions since

and the reciprocal is

1 / 2 .
