For a figure that has rotational symmetry, the number of times the figure looks the same when rotated by an angle less than or equal to 360^(∘), is called the order of symmetry.
Consider the examples in the applet. A square has rotational symmetry of order 4. An equilateral triangle has rotational symmetry of order 3, and the digit 0 has an order of symmetry of 2.
