Digit

Digits are characters that are used to create numbers. In modern mathematical expressions, the ten Arabic numerals are most commonly used. 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 \text{0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9} These characters represent different values depending on how many are present, how they are combined, and in which position of a number they are placed. For example, combining the digits 55 and 66 can form two different numbers, 5656 and 65.65.
