Mr. Phen's monthly income equals 25x+120, where x is the number of hours he worked. We want to factor this expression. To do so, we will use the Distributive Property in reverse. First, we have to find the greatest common factor (GCF) between the terms. 25x&= 5 * 5 * x 120&= 2 * 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 In this case, the GCF is the only common prime factor, 5. Let's factor out the GCF for our expression.
