What is the Substitution Method all about?
See solution.
There are two methods to solve a system of equations by substitution:
By solving one of the equations in the system for one of the variables, we can then substitute the resulting expression into the other equation. We now have one equation in only one variable. This means the value of the single variable can be found. Finally, we can substitute this value in the first equation to find the full answer.
