For a set B to be a subset of another set A, all the elements of B should be contained in A.
See solution.
The set of complex numbers is comprised by the set of real numbers and the set of imaginary numbers. Furthermore, the set of real numbers contains as subsets the set of rational numbers, irrational numbers, integer numbers, whole numbers and the set of natural numbers. This can be seen in the following diagram.
Notice that the sets of rational, integer, whole and natural numbers are subsets of the set of real numbers. Therefore, they are also subsets of the complex numbers. Finally, since the exercise asks for just one example of each case, we can choose any of the ones shown in the diagram. For more information about numbers sets, click here.
